Sona may have had a short amateur career of only (15) amateur bouts, but he surely is not new to the game. Even before his first amateur bout, Sona had been a fixture in the local boxing gyms, constantly giving quality sparring to elite amateurs and professional boxers alike. Sona, AKA stage musician name, “Slink Proper,” has always been a very good athlete. As such, boxing was no different for him, competing at an elite level early on. Even Sona’s very first amateur bout was against a veteran of double-digit experience, in which the “Over Achiever,” Sona won the bout.
Shortly thereafter, he competed in the Regional Golden Gloves Tournament, only to loose in the finals by split decision to (3X) Upper Midwest Champion, Anthony Rose. We believe Sona is much better suited for the professional game. Sona is off to stellar professional boxing career of (5-0) which includes a respectable win over upset minded Nicholas Compton.
